Hello, I'm Leela, and I have a passion for capturing those little moments that get missed in everyday life. I love taking the time to appreciate the small things. Slowing down in today's fast-paced world and photography gives me a great outlet to do so. I'm 23 years old, living in the Manawatu and studying photography at the Southern Institute of Technology. Welcome to my journey of image creation and discovery. 

Portfolio concept:

This portfolio focuses on Macro Insect Photography. Through careful macro composition and patient fieldwork, I aim to reveal remarkable detail ordinarily invisible to the naked eye. I want people to see the beauty, or at the very least gain an appreciation for these little creatures. This portfolio will focus on moments within an insect's life cycle and tell the story of the part they play in the world. 

All creatures deserve a spot in the limelight. Each image within this portfolio will be an invitation to slow down and appreciate the complexity woven into the smallest details of nature. Giving a new perspective to a world at our fingertips.
